Beginners Courses

Courses for newcomers to the sport are available. This four session course shows you how to shoot safely and means that you meet a standard of competence so that you can join a GNAS affiliated club.

The course costs £65 per person and covers the elements outlined below.

* Archery safety protocols.

* Assembling and disassembling archery equipment safely.

* Point of aim shooting.

* Using a sight, reference point, stance and balance.

* Release and follow-through.

* Bow types – longbow, recurve, compound.

* Rounds and scoring.

Juniors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the course.
